Town Government FAQ
Many people have questions about how the Town government runs- the answers may be found in the Wisconsin Statutes here: https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/statutes/statutes/60
The Town Board of Supervisors and elected/appointed officials such as the Town Clerk and Treasurer must follow the procedures dictated by state law and outlined in this section of Wisconsin Statutes.
This also includes the process that must be followed to appoint Deputy Clerks or Treasurers, and the appointment of temporary Supervisors to fill vacant positions on the Town Board.
If you would like to be considered for a vacant position on the Board or are thinking about running for election, or if you have any questions about how these positions function in Town govenment after consulting the statutes, please contact the Clerk’s office at (715) 266-2110 for more information.
